Refund Policy
When you get your money back, when you do not, and how long it takes.
LAST UPDATED 12 SEPTEMBER 2026
The short version
If Sidedoor did not send on your behalf, you should not be paying for it. If it sent and you did not like the outcome, that is the job market, not a billing error.
Full refunds
- Within 30 days of your first payment, if fewer than 100 applications have gone out.
- Any month in which a fault on our side stopped sending for more than 5 consecutive days.
- A charge you did not authorise — say so and we will reverse it and investigate.
- A duplicate charge, refunded in full as soon as we see it.
Partial refunds
If sending was interrupted for part of a month, we refund pro rata for the days lost. If you upgrade mid-cycle, we credit the unused part of the old plan against the new one rather than refunding it.
What is not refundable
- A month that was sent as promised — including one that produced no replies, interviews or offers.
- Applications rejected by an employer, or roles that closed before you were seen.
- The remainder of a month after you cancel: sending continues to the end of the period you paid for.
- Accounts closed by us for breaking the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
How to ask
Email support@usesidedoor.com from the address on the account and say what happened. We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Chargebacks
Talk to us before raising a chargeback — we will almost always sort it faster. An account with an open chargeback is suspended until it is resolved.
