Cookie Policy
The cookies Sidedoor sets, what each one is for, and how to turn the optional ones off.
LAST UPDATED 12 SEPTEMBER 2026
What we set
- Essential — your session cookie and a CSRF token. These keep you signed in and keep your account safe. They cannot be turned off without breaking the product.
- Preferences — small things you chose, like a dismissed banner or the last dashboard tab you used.
- Analytics — how the site and app get used, in aggregate, so we can fix what is slow or confusing.
We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell what our analytics sees.
How long they last
The session cookie lasts 30 days or until you sign out. Preference cookies last up to a year. Analytics cookies last up to 13 months.
Turning them off
Every browser can block or clear cookies per site, and we honour Global Privacy Control for the optional categories. Blocking the essential ones will sign you out and keep you out.
